Dublin Teenager Homestay DTP

Make new friends from around the world on this all inclusive homestay teenager programme. You will study in the mornings with an action packed sporting and cultural programme in the afternoons and at the weekend. There is an optional Young Leader’s Workshop on one afternoon each week.

Arrivals: Sundays, departures on Saturdays.

Dublin Teenager Day School DTD

Tuition and afternoon activities on 5 days a week (Monday to Friday, 0900-1700) with a full day excursion by coach at the weekend.

Programme Details

The programme consists of:

  • English Language Course of 23 sessions a week with focus is on spoken English
  • One afternoon a week there are 3 Young Leader Workshop sessions, including team building, public speaking, presenting ideas and debating
  • Afternoon sporting and cultural activities and some evening activities
  • Weekly full day weekend excursion to a place of interest 

Free Time, Weekly Excursions, Example Week

All our host families are within 30 minutes travel of the school. In the evenings students socialise with their host families or together in small groups in the village. We offer 24 hour support to all our students.

Every weekend, students go on a full day excursion by coach to a place of interest outside Dublin including Kilkenny Castle, Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall, and Glendalough. 

Example Week

Young Leaders Workshop

One afternoon a week there are 3 Young Leader Workshop sessions, including team building, public speaking, presenting ideas and debating. This is an option workshop and highly popular with students.

Accommodation & Meals

Students stay with carefully selected host families that all live close to the school. There will only be one student of each nationality in the homestay, with a maximum of 3 students, usually 2 students. Families provide full board to the students with a packed lunch on afternoons when there are activities. Students live as part of the family for the duration of their stay.

What is included?
Full board homestay accommodation, English language course, materials, certificates, activity programme and weekly excursions, supervision by staff.

What is not included?
Transfers from airport, incidental expenses and pocket money, medical and travel insurance.
